Game Locations & Scheduling

Our two primary locations are Roemersberger Ballfields and Ryan Park, where there are 2 fields at each.

Game Scheduling Process

Player Pitch divisions have first priority to host games at Roemersberger over Ryan due to field preparation and supply availability (Minors/Majors). Intermediate and above can only play games at Roemersberger Field 2 (see below).

New to Spring 2025, we are making a concerted effort to leverage the Roemersberger Ballfields over Ryan Park. Process:

  • CMP & Tee Ball games will primarily be scheduled at Ryan.
  • Each Sunday evening, the schedule for the upcoming week will be reviewed and all games that can be moved from Ryan to Roemersberger will be updated accordingly.
Note that game dates and times will not change on a weekly basis, only the location will (for CMP/Tee Ball).

We'll be asking for feedback throughout the season to determine if this process is welcomed by SLLL families (who overwhelmingly prefer playing at Roemersberger over Ryan)!!

Roemersberger Ballfields

Field 1 (west) hosts 60' base paths and a permanently installed 46' pitch rubber. These dimensions allow for games up to 12U (Majors division).

Field 2 (east) is larger with a permanent dirt/clay mound and pitch rubber at 60' (Juniors/Seniors distance). There are multiple base posts to support all divisions: 60' for up to Majors, 70' for Intermediate, and 90' for Juniors & Seniors. For all events that are not Junior/Senior, a temporary pitch rubber must be installed at the proper distance from home plate: 46' for up to Majors and 50' for Intermediate.

A shed, owned by Standley Lake Little League, is also located at Roemersberger that holds player equipment, tools for preparing fields for games, and event supplies.

Ryan Park

Ryan Park is adjacent to Ryan Elementary with 2 small fields that host up to Majors division. There are storage boxes at each field that coaches have access to for bases and temporary pitch rubbers.

Since games need to be prepared with chalk for Player Pitch divisions, Ryan Park is not ideal to host Player Pitch games as chalk and other supplies must be transported from the shed at Roemersberger to Ryan fields for games.

Chalking fields is optional for Coach/Machine Pitch (typically not done) and not necessary for Tee Ball divisions.

Note that Ryan Park does not have bathroom facilities! We have been urging the city of Westminster for years to address this and continue to do so!

FAQ

What are the field dimensions for each division?

Please refer to Little League Field Specifications

What divisions play outside of our league?

We aim to have tee ball and coach/machine pitch play within our league only. In fact, most leagues in our District do the same. These are developmental divisions that thrive in friendly + familiar environments. Also, this limits travel required for younger players + families.

All player pitch divisions (Minors Player Pitch, Majors, Intermediate, Juniors, & Seniors) will compete against other leagues in our District (District 2 CO). The leagues we compete against varies year-by-year dependent on total registration numbers for our league and leagues in our district. The older the division, the less overall teams there are in the District, and more travel will be required around the North Denver area.
