Standley Lake Little League is seeking reliable and enthusiastic umpires! Umpires must be 14 years or older. We will hold an umpire clinic prior to the start of the season to provide training and review the rules. It is the responsibility of the umpires to study and understand the rules in order to be prepared for game situations.

Schedules will be available early April, and assignment of games will depend on performance/development of the umpire.

Umpires may either volunteer their time, or work as an independent contractor with Standley Lake Little League. Pay ranges from $40-$65/game based on type of game, assigned based on ability and experience.

• Abuse Awareness training (complete, and email your certificate to UIC)

  • Abuse Awareness is MANDATORY per Little League
  • Introduction to Umpiring is strongly recommended
  • Agreeing to the “U” Code of Conduct is strongly recommended

Form W-9 is required for Standley Lake Little League (SLLL) records so that SLLL can pay you for the games that you umpire.

Why are you required to complete this form?

The IRS requires SLLL to collect this information for each individual or organization it makes payments to.

Without your Social Security Number on file, SLLL could be required to withhold income taxes from our payments to you.

Since SLLL is required to collect this information, SLLL will not make a payment to you without this information on file.

Any umpire who as received in excess of $600 during the calendar year will receive a Form 1099-MISC from SLLL by mail for use in filing your Federal Income Tax Return.
